Welcome to Stories Beach House — a renovated five-bedroom beachfront home overlooking the Strait of Georgia. Step inside and the ocean greets you through panoramic windows, with the Coast Mountains rising behind the water.

Stories Beach is right across the road — a sandy stretch at low tide that's perfect for exploring with the kids and soaking in the quiet. This is a home built for gathering: an open-plan main level with kitchen, dining (seats 8), and living room — all facing the ocean. Five bedrooms across two levels sleep up to 10.

Check-in Details

Your check-in details — including entry instructions — are provided in your booking confirmation message. Check your platform chat (Airbnb, VRBO, etc.) or email for everything you need to get in.

House Rules

Please read and follow these guidelines

No smoking indoors. If you smoke outside, do not throw cigarette butts on the property. Evidence of indoor smoking is subject to a $250 fee.
Quiet hours: 9 PM – 9 AM. NoiseAware monitors sound levels and will notify us if thresholds are exceeded, especially outdoors.
Maximum 10 guests. The septic system accommodates up to 10 adults. Be mindful of water consumption at max capacity.
No candles. Lit candles are a fire risk and are not permitted in the home.
No pets unless arranged with the host prior. A pet fee may apply.
No parties or events. May result in booking cancellation and a fee.
Respect neighbours. Do not enter the south neighbour's yard or park in front of neighbouring properties.
Do not leave garbage unattended. Bag it and place in bins outside promptly.

Garbage & Recycling

Bag all garbage and place in the bins outside. Close the lids to prevent wildlife from getting in. Compost and garbage go in the same bag — our waste company does not yet separate compost.

Place recycling in a separate bag; our cleaners will take it to the recycling depot. Do not throw loose garbage or recycling directly in the bins.

Heating, Cooling & Kitchen

Comfort and cooking essentials

Climate Control

Forced-air furnace heating. The main thermostat is in the hallway near the laundry machines on the upper level. Adjust freely to stay comfortable. No air conditioning — portable fans are available for warm days.

Gas Fireplace

The fireplace thermostat is on the wall to the right of the fireplace, near the nautilus clock. Please turn it off every time you leave.

Kitchen

Fully stocked with everything for group meals: oven, 4-burner stove, microwave, dishwasher, and fridge/freezer. Drip coffee maker with grounds, electric kettle, toaster, blender, and baking sheets. Cooking basics stocked: oil, salt, and spices.

Septic System

Do not pour oil, alcohol, or bleach down drains. Only flush toilet paper.

During a power outage, do not use the downstairs toilet.

Laundry, Linens & Entertainment

Everything you need for a comfortable stay

Laundry

Washer and dryer on the main level. Laundry detergent is provided.

Towels & Linens

Fresh linens and towels provided. Extra pillows and blankets in the linen closet.

Beach Towels

Please bring your own — they are not provided. Indoor towels only. Do not take them to the beach. Sand-damaged towels may be subject to a charge.

Entertainment

52" HDTV with Netflix, Prime Video, and Disney+ in the living room. Board games and a small reading library on the bookshelf beside the fireplace.

Room darkening shades in bedrooms. Sound machine in the upstairs king bedroom (closest to the road) for restful sleep.

Remote Work

Dedicated workspace beside the fireplace with WiFi at 80 Mbps — solid for video calls and remote work.

Deck & Outdoor Areas

Front deck with glass railings, outdoor dining table with umbrella, and views across to Stories Beach and the Strait of Georgia. Campbell River faces east — you'll catch the sunrise over the ocean and mountains.

Spacious backyard with garden area. The property is on the highway, so you'll hear road sounds during the day. Evenings are quieter.

Parking

Free driveway parking for 2 vehicles. Do not drive on the north neighbour's lawn (underground septic equipment). Do not park in front of neighbouring properties. Additional street parking available.

BBQ

Propane BBQ on the deck with utensils provided. Please ensure the BBQ is turned off completely when you're done and before leaving the home.

Accessibility & Safety

Important information for your stay

Accessibility

Two-level home with interior stairs between the upper and lower levels. Three bedrooms upstairs, two bedrooms downstairs. No elevator or step-free access between levels.

Both bathrooms have tub/shower combos with step-over tubs.

Safety Equipment

Smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detector, first aid kit, and fire extinguisher installed throughout the home.

Security

Ring doorbell camera at the front door and an exterior camera on the side deck. Both exterior-only, no audio recording. NoiseAware monitors indoor sound levels during quiet hours — measures decibels only, no audio or video.

Checkout Checklist

Dishes — Load the dishwasher with all used dishes and leave it running.
Towels — Place all used towels in the bathtubs.
Lights & appliances — Turn off all lights and appliances, including the BBQ and fireplace.
Lock up — Lock all doors. The keypad locks automatically when you press the red button.
Garbage — Bag all garbage and place in the bins outside. Close the lids.
